The first weekend of Spring Break we will be going to Titusville, FL. We will be staying at the Park Avenue Retreat Center. We will leave Friday, March 10 at 2:00 PM and get back to Gainesville Sunday, March 12 around 9:00-10:00 PM. We will spend Saturday going to Cocoa Beach and Sunday going to The Kennedy Space Center.
Global Connections will charge $120 for the trip, which includes lodging, transportation, parking, some meals we will provide, and snacks and drinks for the beach. You will also be responsible to purchase your ticket to the Kennedy Space Center which is $85 as well as spending around $50 (2 lunches, 1 dinner) eating out for meals.
Here is the schedule of events and approximately what the trip will look like:
Friday, March 10:
2:00 – Leave from Gainesville
5:00 – Arrive at Park Avenue Retreat Center and settle into rooms
6:00 – Eat at Retreat Center
7:00 – Hang out at Retreat Center
Saturday, March 11:
8:00-9:30 – Continental Breakfast Provided
9:30 – Leave for Cocoa Beach
10:00-5:00 – Hang out at Cocoa Beach area (responsible for own lunch)
5:00 – Leave for Retreat Center
6:00 – Eat at Retreat Center
7:00 – Hang out at Retreat Center
Sunday, March 12:
7:30-9:30 – Continental Breakfast Provide
8:00 – (optional) Attend Church
8:30-9:30 – Pack/load all your stuff and clean Retreat Center
9:30 – Leave for Kennedy Space Center
10:00-5:00 – Hang out at Kennedy Space Center (responsible for own lunch)
5:00 – Leave for Gainesville (eat on the way home with own vehicles)
9:00-10:00 – Arrive back in Gainesville
Here is a short packing list of things to consider bringing: Please pack as lightly as possible with limited luggage space.
